My Story

I am joining some friends to complete part of the Camino de Santiago route through Northern Spain.  We 'pilgrims' will be walking around 150 km over a week.

There will be 10 of us of varying nationalities:  English, French, Belgian, Norwegian and Australian.

Whilst I will be the first to admit this will not be an arduous challenge like running a marathon or  swimming the channel, I thought it would be nice opportunity to bring my work to the attention of a few more people and raise some funds for the national school for deaf children where I work.  Mary Hare School is the biggest school for deaf children in the UK.

Mary Hare School needs to raise £6 million to build a brand new Primary School for deaf children.  It's a big ask but I am very proud to work for this fantastic cause and if we can raise a little towards the current fundraising appeal I will be delighted.
